In the heart of town, The Strand House is a warm, welcoming escape where tradition meets a fresh twist. Whether you’re out with friends or marking a special occasion, our space has the charm of a classic Irish pub with a local touch.
Our menu brings together timeless favourites and inventive plates, made with fresh ingredients and bold flavours. And no Irish pub is complete without a well-stocked bar: craft beers, fine wines, cocktails and the classic Irish drinks that warm the heart.

First licensed in 1800, we’re a local in the true sense of the word, serving great food and drink to our community with excellent service.
We welcome families, groups and individuals, with areas to suit every occasion.
Our kitchen, led by Head Chef Chrys Fontes, serves a daily menu seven days a week, with something for everyone.
Birthdays, day-two wedding celebrations, retirement parties, even New Year’s Eve – we’ve hosted them all.
Whatever the occasion, The Strand House has two private spaces: the Barony Lounge, with seating for 50, and the Function Room upstairs, with a capacity of 100. Each has two entrances, one of them exclusive (on request for the Function Room), plus a full menu and a party menu on request.

The Barony Lounge is an incredible lounge with two entrances. One of them is exclusive, perfect for public figures or famous guests, and there is easy parking for limousines or minibuses. The exclusive entrance can be used by the bride and groom, for birthdays or for debutantes.
A lounge on the upper floor with a unique ambience, equipped with a projector, TVs and surround sound. It has an exclusive bar and two entrances, one of which is exclusive (on request).

Traditional Irish music, played live in the pub. Grab a seat, order a drink and enjoy the tunes the way they are meant to be heard, in good company.

Our Sunday Roast is served from 1:00 PM until sold out. Choose from beef, pork, chicken or lamb, with creamy mashed potatoes, crispy roasties, seasonal vegetables and our homemade gravy. Ask our team for the day’s selection.

Wonderful pub with friendly staff & good food. Stopped in for an early weeknight dinner before our flight back home. Dave- the Barman was friendly and provided excellent service. I had the steak. It was the best tasting meal I had our whole stay in Ireland. Definitely worth a visit.

The Strand was an absolute pleasure as always. We arrived around 30 minutes after opening and immediately we were greeted by staff. They bring us to a nice table upstairs and explained the menu. The food was amazing and the pork belly is to die for! The staff were so helpful and kind that we ended up tipping 25% instead of our usual 20% just to show our gratitude. We will DEFINITELY be coming back. A massive thank you to our waiter and waitress Natalia and Victor.

Been here a few times and it’s always been a good spot, but they seem to have changed their menu recently and the food is fabulous! Highly recommend the chicken bechamel croquettes in particular! Hats off to the chef, and the staff were very friendly and professional too. Special thanks to Dave this evening.
